Ann Citron has been teaching improvisation for twenty-five years in and around the Hudson Valley. Ann is the Theatre Arts Director for the Rosendale Theatre. She believes the power of play can unlock and transform your life. Play generates vitality, connection, and community. In moments of pure spontaneity and presence, you remember what it is like to be engaged with others. Through theatre games and exercises, explore what it means to pay attention to one another. Absolutely no experience needed, just the desire to play!

An edgy and dramatic artist with a reverence for the mystical, Diana Hickman blends the quirky stylings of avant pop with the deep grooves and harmonic sophistication of soul, R&B and jazz. A California native, Hickman relocated to the east coast over a decade ago to attend Boston Conservatory of Music and then settled into a new life in one of the world’s creative capitals, New York City. With appearances at big name clubs including the Blue Note Jazz Club, Brooklyn Bowl, and Webster Hall as well as extensive regional tours, Hickman has distilled her stage presence to smokey smooth perfection. Diana has been sharing music education for Piano & Voice in NYC for 11 years.

Michael Hollis has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Performance on guitar at SUNY New Paltz, where he studied with guitarists Tom Dempsey and Mark Dziuba. Following graduation, Michael embarked further into his musical journeys as composer, arranger, performer, and teacher. Michael teaches private Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, and Music Theory Lessons throughout the Hudson Valley with the HVMC and hosts workshops, master classes, and jam sessions.

" - Ben Hansen Local Rosendale resident Ben Hansen is a professionally trained audio engineer and classically trained percussionist. He has recently graduated from SAE Institute in Manhattan but his roots were always in playing the drums. Ben was freelancing as a drummer for groups all around the Hudson Valley before going to SAE and would love to meet and teach as many drummers as possible ! ages 18 and up, no previous musical knowledge required.
